Supported Countries and Territories in Scrunch
Scrunch supports 88 countries and territories when you create a brand. This is the list you choose from for your brand's primary country during setup.
This 88-country list does not limit where your prompts can target. Once a brand exists, prompts can be set to run from any country in the world, not just the ones on this list.
The 88-country restriction applies only to a brand's primary country at setup. It does not cap the country field on individual prompts.
If a country you need isn't on this list for brand setup, see Why Isn't My Country Supported for Brand Setup? below.
How Geography Works in Scrunch
Geographic targeting determines where an AI search query originates. When you set a country on a prompt, Scrunch runs that query from inside that location, so you see the results a real user in that market would get, including region-specific citations and sources.
There are two separate places country settings show up in Scrunch:
Brand's primary country. Chosen when you create a brand, from the 88-country list below. This is your brand's home market and becomes the default country for new prompts.
Prompt-level country field. Set per prompt, and not restricted to the 88-country list. You can point an individual prompt at any country worldwide.
Each prompt targets one country. The country field defaults to your brand's primary country, but you can change it per prompt to any country you need, including ones that aren't offered when creating a brand.
To track the same question across multiple markets, create a separate prompt for each country. For example, run "best running shoes" targeted at the United States and a second prompt targeted at the United Kingdom, then compare them by the country dimension in the Explorer tab. For a broader look at how geography settings fit together across brands and prompts, see Understanding Geographies in Scrunch.
What geographic targeting is good for:
Tracking how your brand appears in different markets
Comparing AI search results across regions where you operate
Monitoring competitive presence in specific countries
Identifying geographic content gaps in AI responses

Setting a Country on a Prompt
Open the prompt configuration panel (when adding or editing a prompt). See How to Add Prompts in Scrunch for the full workflow.
Find the Country field.
Select a country from the dropdown. It defaults to your brand's primary country, but this field is not limited to the 88-country brand setup list, you can choose any country worldwide.
Save the prompt to begin collecting data from that location.
Different prompts in the same brand can target different countries, including countries outside the 88-country brand setup list. A common setup is to run your core prompt set in your primary market, then duplicate a smaller high-value subset into each secondary market you care about, whether or not that market appears on the brand setup list.
Why Isn't My Country Supported for Brand Setup?
The 88-country limitation only applies when you're choosing a brand's primary country at setup. Scrunch enables a country on this list only after confirming that AI search data can actually be collected from that location as a home market.
Brand primary country validation depends on our collection providers having coverage there, and on the AI platforms themselves serving that market. We validate each country before adding it to the brand setup list, rather than listing a country we cannot reliably collect from as a verified home market.
This means the brand setup list grows over time as coverage expands. It also means a country being absent from this list is a coverage limitation, not a plan or account restriction. Upgrading your plan will not unlock additional countries for brand setup, and support cannot enable one on request.
If your target market isn't on the brand setup list, you can still create prompts targeting that country directly, since prompt-level geographic targeting isn't restricted to this list. The workaround below only matters for choosing your brand's own primary country: select the nearest supported country in the same region as a directional proxy for your brand's home market, and interpret those brand-level defaults accordingly. Your Scrunch contact can help you decide whether a regional proxy is meaningful for your use case.
If you need a specific country added to the brand setup list, let your Scrunch contact know. Requests inform which markets we validate next.
Data Quality Within Targeted Countries
Whether a country is on the brand setup list or targeted only at the prompt level, data density can vary:
AI platform coverage. Not every AI platform operates in every country, so the set of platforms returning data can differ by market.
Language. Prompts perform best when written in the language people actually use in that market. See Languages in Scrunch.
Query volume. Some markets generate less AI search activity overall, which affects how much data accumulates.
If you see limited data for a targeted country, check that your prompts are written in a language commonly used there and that the platforms you expect are enabled on the prompt.
Common Use Cases
Multi-market brands. Duplicate your core prompts into each of your top markets, whether or not they're on the brand setup list, and compare citation rate, sentiment, and competitive presence by country in Explorer.
Localization testing. Check whether your localized content actually appears in AI responses for that market. If your French content isn't cited in France-targeted prompts, that's a localization gap worth investigating.
Expansion planning. Before entering a new market, add that country to your competitor-tracking prompts to see how competitors are represented there, even if that market isn't yet on the brand setup list.
Agency reporting. When managing clients across regions, filter Explorer by country to isolate each client's market performance.
