Knowledge Studio

Knowledge Studio turns your internal brand knowledge—from Notion, SharePoint, and uploaded files—into a living, approved source of truth that shapes how AI talks about your brand.

Knowledge Studio is currently in beta and available to customers on Scrunch's Enterprise plans. We'll be rolling out versions of Knowledge Studio to other plan types in the future.

What is Knowledge Studio?

AI assistants answer questions about your brand using whatever they can find online—a stale product page, a competitor's listicle, an outdated third-party review. Meanwhile, the accurate, approved information you actually want AI to use often lives in places AI can't see: an internal wiki, a sales enablement doc, a messaging brief.

Knowledge Studio fixes that. It turns your internal brand knowledge—from Notion, SharePoint, and uploaded files—into Knowledge Documents: a living, brand-approved source of truth that Scrunch uses to shape AI answers, enrich AI-facing content, and fill content gaps.

Nothing is ever used until your team approves it. Scrunch's AI agents do the heavy lifting; your team stays in control.

Knowledge Documents

Knowledge Documents are the core of Knowledge Studio. They are structured, information-dense documents generated from your approved sources and organized by your custom dimensions (e.g., product line, customer segment, geography). Every fact is sourced.

Your first Knowledge Document is created automatically. Scrunch analyzes your existing website and frequently cited sources to generate a document that represents what external AI agents currently understand about your brand—a snapshot of what AI really knows about you today.

From there, you can create new documents—company details, ideal customer profile, competitive differentiation, social proof—to power content updates and make sure AI talks about your brand, products, and services correctly. Just click New document, give it a name, and select which approved sources it should pull from.

How It Works

1. Connect

Plug your internal knowledge repositories—Notion, SharePoint, or uploaded files—into Scrunch with scoped access. You decide exactly which sources and pages are made accessible; nothing else is read.

2. Generate

Scrunch's AI agents analyze your connected content, along with your current website, to produce Knowledge Documents—structured, fully sourced, and organized by your custom dimensions.

3. Validate

Your team reviews every document before it's used anywhere. Each role works differently:

  • Owners — Final approval of a knowledge document

  • Editors — leave comments and suggest changes for review and approval

Assign a domain owner to specific documents for final review and approval. Our AI agents triage the review process by highlighting potential issues, like sensitive data, missing content, and conflicting information.

4. Update

As content in your connected sources evolves, our AI agents flag changes and suggest updates for approval—preventing silent drift between your internal truth and what AI sees.

Your Team of AI Agents

A growing list of "always on" AI agents works alongside your team throughout the review process:

  • Compliance Agent — reviews incoming suggestions for Knowledge Document updates for sensitive or internal-facing information

  • Fact Check Agent — compares what external AI agents understand about your company to approved company knowledge to flag factual errors

  • External Conflict Agent — reviews what external AI agents understand about your company to flag conflicting information on your website(s)

What You Can Do with Knowledge Studio

Flag brand misalignment

What your website says and what it should say are often two different things—and AI can't tell the difference between outdated content and brand fact. Knowledge Studio automatically flags AI-facing information that appears incorrect or conflicts with your Knowledge Documents, so you can correct the record and improve the accuracy of AI answers.

Enrich AI-optimized webpages (AXP)

Knowledge Studio augments content deployed via the Agent Experience Platform (AXP), giving AI more brand-approved content to read and recommend in responses—without changing the human web visitor experience in any way. Centrally review and approve content by topic area instead of approving each page individually, reducing the burden on content and compliance teams.

Fill content gaps

When AI is fielding questions your site doesn't answer, our Content Gaps feature surfaces the prompts your brand should be answering and generates a ready-to-use content brief. Knowledge Studio informs this process with verified, approved information—or you can deliver your approved Knowledge Document to the AI assistant of your choice to generate content immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who has access to Knowledge Studio?

Knowledge Studio is currently in beta for customers on Scrunch's Enterprise plans. We plan to roll out versions of Knowledge Studio to other plan types in the future. If you're interested in access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

Which knowledge sources are supported?

Knowledge Studio supports Notion, Microsoft SharePoint, and uploaded files. You control exactly which pages and folders Scrunch can access.

Will my internal content be exposed publicly?

No. Content is never used until it's approved by your team. Connected sources are accessed with scoped permissions you control, and the Compliance Agent reviews suggested updates for sensitive or internal-facing information before they ever reach a document. Only explicitly approved Knowledge Document content is used to enrich AI-facing experiences.

Does this change my website for human visitors?

No. When approved knowledge is used to enrich content via AXP, it's served only to AI agents. Your human visitor experience is unchanged.

How do Knowledge Documents stay up to date?

Our AI agents continuously monitor your connected sources. When source content changes, agents flag the difference and suggest an update—which your team reviews and approves before anything takes effect.

What document types are accepted in Knowledge Studio?

Document Studio will accept txt, doc, docx, pdf, and md files as an input. At this time, it does not support excel, csv, or any other file types. There is a 50MB size limit for individual files.
