Edit with Scrunchie and rescore

How to edit a draft yourself or with Scrunchie, accept suggested changes, and rescore your version

The draft is yours to edit. Type on the page as you would in any editor. Your changes save as you go.

Brand admins and content editors can edit a draft and mark it as published. Everyone else on the brand can read and export it.

Ask Scrunchie

Scrunchie is the assistant built into the editor. It edits the page for you and shows each edit as a suggested change, so nothing changes until you accept it. It reads only the page, the passage you select, your brand's name and description, and your request, so it can't read Knowledge Studio and won't make up facts or figures.

To edit the whole page, type a request in Ask Scrunchie to edit this page… at the bottom of the screen. For example:

  • "Add a short FAQ at the end."

  • "Make the intro two sentences."

  • "Turn the steps section into a numbered list."

To edit one passage, select the text. A toolbar appears with three quick edits:

Button

What it does

Rewrite

Makes the passage clearer and more direct.

Shorten

Cuts the passage down.

Answer first

Moves the direct answer to the start, so AI can lift it.

Accept or reject suggestions

Scrunchie's edits appear as tracked changes: new text is highlighted and removed text is struck through. Click a change to open it. If suggested changes are still waiting, Scrunchie asks you to accept or reject them first.

  • Accept (⌘↵) keeps the change.

  • Reject (⌘⌫) puts the original back.

  • Accept all or Reject all, at the top of the Review list, handles every open suggestion at once.

Keyboard shortcuts work while a suggestion or review item is open. On Windows, use Ctrl for ⌘.

Rescore after you edit

The scores at the top belong to the version Scrunch wrote. Once you edit, the strip says Scored before your edits.

To score your version, open the ⋯ menu and choose Rescore page. It's there once you've edited the page and the edit shows Saved. The rescore runs in the background, and when it's done the strip changes to Rescored with your edits.

A rescore also adds Site Optimization items to the review list: specific changes that would raise the score. Open one and choose Ask Scrunchie to apply it, or Dismiss. A dismissed item comes back when the page reloads, and an item that says it's a change outside the page's words has no Ask Scrunchie button.

Go back to the written draft

If your edits went the wrong way, open the ⋯ menu and choose Revert to the written draft. This replaces the page with the version Scrunch wrote and discards your edits.
